Christine Tan

Christine Tan is the Singapore-based anchor for CNBC's longest-running feature program  "Managing Asia". She also anchors "Worldwide Exchange", CNBC's groundbreaking program coming live every weekday from Asia, Europe and the U.S.  interviewing prominent CEOs and leaders of top companies doing business in Asia.

Tan has more than 16 years experience in journalism, more than half of which was with CNBC. During her career, she has covered the business and financial market impact from major news events like the Asian Economic Crisis, the Dot Com Bubble Crash, 9-11 attacks in the US and SARS Outbreak.

She received the Best News Program award at the 2004 Asian Television Awards on behalf ofThe Asian Wall Street Journal. The same program also won a finalist award at the 2004 New York Festivals for Coverage of a Breaking News Story.

Christine Tan also received Silver World Medal for Best Anchor at the 2009 New York Festivals Television Programming and Promotion Awards. She also won for Best Current Affairs Presenter award at the 2008 Asian Television Awards.  She was a finalist for Best News Anchor in 2001 and 2002 at the New York Festivals Awards and also a Best Current Affairs Presenter finalist at the 1997 and 2006 Asian Television Awards. 

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and English and a Masters of Arts with Honors in Sociology from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.

Chris Nguyen
Weekend Anchor/Reporter - KREM 2 News

Chris Nguyen joined KREM 2 News in April of 2011 as a weekend anchor and reporter.
Prior to joining the news team, Chris served as morning anchor/statehouse reporter at WAND-TV, the NBC affiliate in Springfield-Decatur-Champaign, IL. He began his broadcasting career at an early age as a "kid disc jockey" for KKDZ-AM in Seattle. Chris entered the world of television news as the morning traffic producer at KOMO-TV in Seattle. He then moved over to Seattle's FOX affiliate, KCPQ-TV, where he supported the station's news and sports departments as a field producer. He also has experience reporting for a number of community newspapers in Western Washington.
Chris is a graduate of the University of Washington, where he studied communication and political science. During his time on campus, Chris was the news director/managing editor for Husky News Now, the university's broadcast news program. He is an alumni member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity.
Outside of the newsroom, Chris enjoys mentoring youth and spending time with family. He was previously recognized by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association as a "Coach of the Year" for his work as a varsity-level high school tennis coach. An avid runner, he has crossed the Disneyland Half Marathon finish line and has his sights set on completing a full marathon in the near future. Chris is an active member of the Asian American Journalists Association.

Chris Jose is a reporter for Fox 31 Denver’s Good Day Colorado and Channel 2’s Daybreak. Since his arrival in August 2010, Chris has covered every major news story in Colorado. He previously was an evening news reporter and weekend sports anchor at KGAN/KFXA TV in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Chris started his career as an anchor/reporter at KGWN TV in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Chris has won several awards, including two regional Emmy nominations for his reporting. In 2008, he was named Best Anchor by the Wyoming Association of Broadcasters. Chris graduated from the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University with a degree in broadcast journalism. When Chris isn’t out chasing breaking news before the sun comes up or standing in blizzards along I-25, he enjoys playing basketball, watching the Nuggets and exploring Colorado with his wife, Jaclyn and dog, Chloe. Chris is currently vice president of the Asian American Journalists Association’s Denver chapter and emcees the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival.

Prior to joining SNY’s news team as an anchor and reporter, Choi was a weekend sports anchor at Fox 23 News in Tulsa as well as a contributor on KTBZ-1430 sports radio. His broadcasting career began as a sports reporter and anchor for Bruin News, the local news station for the UCLA community. Choi has worked for KCAL-9 Sports in Los Angeles, and KVEW-TV in Kennewick, WA.
Before landing his dream job as a sportscaster, Choi's journalism career got a jump-start during his undergraduate years at UCLA. He first started writing for the Daily Bruin in Los Angeles, where he was promoted to write a weekly sports column, which covered issues on a local and national scale. He also served as a play-by-play commentator for UCLA volleyball, baseball and basketball for KLA radio and uclaradio.com. Choi currently resides in Manhattan.
